Since 2021, the silicon price has been rising continuously, and it still does not slow down the trend. According to the latest price announcement issued by Energy Trend, the silicon price has exceeded 135 yuan /kg!  Silicon material, solar cell also continued to rise, up to more than 6%.

The supply and demand situation

Related forecasts show that the global installed capacity is expected to reach 160-165GW in 2021, and the corresponding silicon demand will be about 580,000 tons. According to the silicon branch of China Non-ferrous Metals Industry Association, the global silicon supply limit will be 57-580 tons in 2021.

China's main silicon production enterprises include Tongwei, Xinte, Daquan, GCL, Asia Silicon Industry, etc., of which about 97% of the production capacity is locked by Longi, Jinko, JA, Trina, Shanghai Machinery and other leading enterprises.
